On September 25th, WANG Yongjie, Vice President of Shanghai Party Institute/Shanghai Administration Institute (hereinafter referred to as “SPI/SAI”), met with the delegation led by Pham Thi Ngoc Dung, Deputy Director of the Academy of Politics Region I of Vietnam, accompanied by relevant personnel from the Foreign Affairs Office and Division of Civil Service Training.
After his expressing welcome of Pham Thi Ngoc Dung and her delegation, WANG Yongjie introduced the basic situation of SPI/SAI and reviewed its interaction with relevant work units in Vietnam. He said that China and Vietnam maintain good-neighbourly ties and are always ready to help each other. Therefore, the ruling parties of both countries enjoy a sound tradition of and rich experience in the cultivation of officials. As sister cities, Shanghai and Ho Chi Minh City signed a memorandum on friendly exchanges and cooperation for 2024-2026 in September last year, in which our SAI/SPI was held responsible for training a group of senior and medium-grade civil servants for Ho Chi Minh City every year. SAI/SPI attaches great importance to the integrated development of teaching, research and consulting, which bears resemblance to the educational philosophy and functional orientation of the Academy of Politics Region I of Vietnam. He believed that the visit paid by Pham Thi Ngoc Dung and her delegation would enhance mutual understanding between the two institutes, thereby contribute to the cultivation of officials in the two countries.
Pham Thi Ngoc Dung expressed her gratitude for the warm reception she received and introduced the history, department settings, and international cooperation, among others, of the Academy of Politics Region I. She believed that the advanced ideas and modern teaching mode of SPI/SAI has provided valuable experience and solutions for the cultivation of officials in Vietnam.
