On the morning of October 14^th, the opening ceremony of the 7^th Workshop on Economic and Social Development of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) and the Teacher Training Class on the Education of Enhancing the Party Spirit in the Corps was held in Classroom 201, Haixing Teaching Building in Shanghai Party Institute . ZHANG Xutuan, Vice President of the Party School of XPCC, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. DAI Bing, Vice President of Shanghai Party Institute, presided over the opening ceremony, which was also attended by HE Jun, Director of the Development Service Department of the Shanghai Municipal Talent Work Bureau (Municipal Bureau of Foreign Experts Affairs).

ZHANG Xutuan expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Shanghai Party Institute for its consistent support. He pointed out that Shanghai has played a prominent role in boosting the economic and social development of XPCC by supporting its cultivation of cadres.

ZHANG Xutuan put forward three requirements for the trainees. First, trainees should stand firm in our ideals and convictions and remember the original intention and mission. Trainees should start from the origin of the great founding spirit of the CPC, and further review the Party’s glorious history, pass on the tradition of revolution and carry forward the communist legacy. Second, trainees should follow the path of great leaders and resonate with people. Theoretical learning and on-site teaching will be conducted to bear in mind the profound devotion of great leaders to the people in Shanghai. Third, trainees should improve their weak links and enhance competence. They need to apply their studies to problems and link the studies to reality, in an effort to bolster the capacity in investigation and research, ensuring the right direction of policies, pushing forward work, and maintaining close ties with the people.

DAI Bing said that the comradeship between Shanghai and Xinjiang surmounts mountains and oceans. Shanghai Party Institute will, as always, work closely with the organization departments and talent bureaus of Shanghai and Xinjiang, thereby contributing more to the cultivation of high-quality officials and management personnel for XPCC. DAI bing also specified requirements for course discipline and student management during the training session.
