On July 24, Damir Zobenica, a member of the Main Board and Vice-President of the Executive Board of the Serbian Progressive Party, and his delegation of senior cadres visited Shanghai Party Institute of CPC/Shanghai Administration Institute (SPI/SAI). MEI Lihong, vice president of SPI/SAI, hosted a meeting with them, accompanied by members from the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and the Foreign Affairs Office of  SPI/SAI.

  Ms. MEI gave a general introduction about SPI/SAI, with the focus on its international education, and looked back on its exchanges with Serbia. She said that Serbia is an active participant in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and that China and Serbia have established a comprehensive strategic partnership. On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of BRI, we sincerely welcome the delegation of the ruling party of Serbia.  SPI/SAI would continue to deepen and expand its cooperation with relevant Serbian institutions and promote mutual trust and cooperation between political parties of the two countries.

  LI Lu, associate professor of SPI/SAI, gave a lecture on “Promoting Chinese Modernization with High-quality Development”. The delegation lauded the CPC’s great achievements in full and rigorous Party self-governance, advancement of Chinese modernization and other aspects. The two sides also exchanged views on the training and evaluation of cadres, the structure of labor force, and the process of urbanization in a lively atmosphere.
