Recently, the General Office of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee issued the Decision of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee on Commending Winners of the 16th Shanghai Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences Award and announced the winner list. Shanghai Party Institute of CPC(SPI) & Shanghai Administration Institute (SAI) was awarded ten achievements: eight won the Outstanding Achievement Award for CPC Innovative Theory Research (three the first prizes and five the second prizes) and two won the Discipline Academic Award (the second prize). This is a new breakthrough!
Executive Vice President ZENG Jun, then Executive Vice President XU Jiangang, and Director of the Division of Scientific Research Management ZHOU Jingqing won the first prize (thesis) of the Outstanding Achievement Award for CPC Innovative Theory Research. There are nine winners of this award, and SPI has the most winners for accounting for one-third of the total. It is also the second win in a row for Professor ZHOU Jingqing to win the first prize of this kind.
The Shanghai Outstanding Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences Award is the top award of its kind in Shanghai initiated under the leadership of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, and it is held every two years. This year, the awards fall under four categories: Academic Contribution Award (four winning entries), Academic New Talent Award (14 winners), Outstanding Achievement Award for CPC Innovative Theory Research (50 winning entries), and Discipline Academic Outstanding Achievement Award (432 winning entries).
