On the afternoon of March 1, SPI held an opening ceremony for the 2024 spring semester. ZHANG Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee, Director of the Organization Department and SPI's President, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech.

ZHANG Wei pointed out that the leading Party members in Shanghai must thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of General Secretary XI Jinping’s important speech during his inspection in Shanghai. He said we must implement the requirements of the Municipal Party Committee, strive to become experts in leading and advancing the modernization development, and make practical achievements in Shanghai’s modernization. We must take enhancing political capabilities as the foundation of our work and deeply grasp the overall situation of the modernization development; take the cultivation of practical skills as the basis for success and constantly strengthen the confidence to do things well, take courage and responsibility as a value pursuit and continuously inspire the motivation to take responsibility, take the precise and practical work style as an important support and always maintain the true nature of self-revolution.
