Recently, the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences announced a list of annual projects and youth projects funded by National Social Science Foundation in 2022. Among them, our institute won 14 projects, with the project approval rate reaching 18.2%, higher than the national average. We ranked first in terms of the number of national projects among provincial Party institutes (administration institutes) across the country, and had a significant leading edge.

　　The annual projects approved by National Social Science Foundation show four characteristics. The first one is balance of subject categories. Among the 14 subjects, there is 1 key subject, 9 general subjects, and 4 youth subjects. A total of 6 key projects are launched by provincial Party institutes, and our institute has 1 of them; there are 4 youth projects, higher than the average number of annual projects in the past 3 years. The second one is that the Party institute has obvious advantages in preponderant disciplines. The winning projects mainly come from 5 disciplines, namely Marxism-Leninism and scientific socialism, political science, Party history and Party building, international studies, and applied economics, of which there are 5 projects on Marxist-Leninist and scientific socialism and 3 projects on political science, Party history and Party building. At the same time, new achievements have been made in international studies and applied economics. The third one is balanced and reasonable structure of project leaders. There is a reasonable distribution of senior, middle-aged and young project leaders, including senior professors, middle-aged backbones, and young doctors. The fourth one is the trend of sustainability. In this batch of projects, 9 teachers have won national projects twice or even several times, and 5 teachers have won the projects funded by National Social Science Foundation for the first time. In addition, 4 teachers have won national projects since the integration of institutes.

　　Together with the 1 major project on the “Research and Interpretation of the Spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee” approved at the beginning of the year, and 1 key project turned from a major project, we have 16 projects funded by National Social Science Foundation throughout the year, making a record in history.
