On the afternoon of September 2, SPI (SAI) held an opening ceremony for the fall semester of 2021. YU Shaoliang, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and President of SPI, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech, which emphasized that the students should systematically study, understand and fully implement the essentials of the important speech made by General Secretary XI Jinping on July 1, and earnestly study and understand the essentials of the important speech made by General Secretary XI at the opening ceremony of the training class for young and middle-aged officials held at the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (National Academy of Governance). Weshould not only study, but also think, understand and act, effectively transform the studying results into practical actions enhancing the "four consciousnesses", strengthening the "four confidences" and implementing the "two upholds", and transform the profound thinking power into a strong driving force for creating new miracles and showing new looks.
　　YU Shaoliang pointed out that studying and implementing the essentials of the important speech made by General Secretary XI Jinping on July 1 was a compulsory course for all students. The emphasis lies in studying, the key in understanding, and the foundation in acting. The ultimate goal is effective implementation on the basis of studying and understanding. We must improve our political abilities, always keep the overall interests of the country in mind, have political acumen at all times, and always be wise politically. We must improve our abilities in peoples work, always consider the peoples interests, keep in close contact with the people, and work closely with the people. We must improve the abilities to work effectively and fulfill successfully, develop new methods, tackle with difficulties, promote good work conduct, promote the great spirit of founding the Party and the characters of the city in all work, and demonstrate our loyalty to the Party and the people by practical actions.
