On July 28, Dr. LU Yingchun from the Department of Public Administration participated in the 2021 annual meeting of the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration on behalf of SAI, and gave a speech at the Public Sectors’ Reform session on the theme of Innovation of Public Service Supply Model Based on Modern Information and Communication Technologies: Exampled by Shanghais Practice of Old-age Service Supply.
In her speech, Dr. LU reviewed the application of modern information and communication technologies in Shanghais practice of old-age service supply, generalized the innovations brought by such technologies from six aspects, and summarized three innovations of old-age service supply model driven by modern information and communication technologies. They were respectively the transformation of service management system from "hierarchical management" to "platform governance", the transformation of service supply system from "one-way delivery" to "interactive creation", and the transformation of service supply content from "stereotypical homogeneous content" to "situation-adapted content".
　　
　　In recent years, SAI has maintained constant and close communication with our international partners and the international organizations we have participated in, and actively created platforms and opportunities of international exchange for our teachers. For this annual meeting, SAI made full preparations. Dr. LU Yingchun wrote an elaborate English paper and was appointed to speak at the meeting. The Foreign Affairs Office provided adequate coordination and full support.
　　It is reported that the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) is an international influential academic organization in the field of public administration and the highest-level international academic institution among the worlds administrative schools and institutes. Founded in 1962, the organization was originally an affiliate of the International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS). In 1971, it became an independent association and set its headquarters in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. In June 2002, SAI formally joined in the organization and sent teachers to its annual meeting every year. The association holds an annual meeting every year. This year the annual meeting was hosted by the University of South Africa on the theme of Public Administration and Industry 4.0 / The Fourth Industrial Revolution. Due to the global epidemic, the annual meeting was held online from July 26th to 30th.
