Recently, the construction of the New Era, New Thoughts, New Practices----Shanghai Practice Classroom on XI Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era was completed at SPI(SAI). The construction of the thematic classroom is a major measure of SPI(SAI) to further strengthen the learning of XI Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and to continuously innovate the teaching methods. It is also a practical action of the celebration of the Party’s centenary.
    The thematic classroom takes courses as the main body, and pictures, texts, and physical exhibits as the carriers, supplemented by necessary means of information technology. On the basis of comprehensively and accurately displaying XI Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the vivid practices of Shanghai in implementing the guidelines of General Secretary XI Jinping’s important speeches, in-depth lectures are given by full-time instructors and interactive discussions are made among trainees to enhance the trainees' understanding of the new thought and guide them to make new contributions to creating new miracles in Shanghai. "Seeing", "listening", "thinking" and "discussing" are combined, and exhibitions and lectures are combined to strengthen the content of the lectures given in the thematic classroom.
   The thematic classroom is located on the second floor of Haizhong Building, with a gross floor area of 437.2 square meters. It can hold 100 people. The exhibition includes three parts: XI Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the important speeches and instructions by General Secretary XI Jinping during his visit in Shanghai, and Shanghai’s practices in the implementation of the thought, speeches, and instructions mentioned above. In addition to the above content, a special learning library was set in the thematic classroom to display the works by General Secretary XI Jinping and relevant scientific studies published in China.
