The 2021 Spring Opening Ceremony of SPI (SAI) was held today (March 3). YU Shaoliang, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and President of SPI, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. He emphasized that the trainees should thoroughly study and implement XI Jinping’s Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly study and comprehend the core of General Secretary XI Jinping’s important speech made at the opening ceremony of the training class for young and middle-aged officials at the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (Chinese Academy of Governance), fully understand the extreme importance of taking a clear political stand, always prioritize the improvement of political abilities, and shoulder the political responsibilities entrusted by the Party and the people effectively.

    YU Shaoliang pointed out that we should continuously improve our political judgment, political comprehension, and political execution, and effectively enhance the political consciousness, ideological consciousness, and action consciousness of studying and carrying forward the glorious tradition and fine conduct of the Party. Learn to observe the general situation, improve the ability of seeing the whole from a small part, and develop the courage to fight and the skills of fighting. Be one who can see clearly, know early, and act quickly. Focus on Shanghais key strategy of developing preemptive opportunities and opening new prospects to firmly grasp the development initiative in the changing situation. Take a firm political stand, strengthen the awareness of political responsibilities, find directions, ideas, and methods from the Party’s innovative theories, and draw wisdom and strength from the Partys history to better assist the implementation of national strategic tasks and solve difficulties for the people. Maintain a high degree of unity in thinking, stance, and action with the Party Central Committee with Comrade XI Jinping at its core; realize the Two Upholdings in the practice of planning strategies, formulating policies, deploying tasks, and advancing work; make cadres at each level responsible for the upper level and let decisions be implemented at all levels.
