On the afternoon of March 9, René Bormann, Director of the Shanghai Office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), and two other staffmembers came to visit SAI. Provost MEI Lihong presided over the meeting.

    MEI Lihong welcomed René Bormanns visit. She said that SAI and FES are long-term partners, and the two parties held two Sino-German online-seminars last year and achieved great success despite the impact of the pandemic, which enriched and deepened the cooperation system. This year, the two parties still plan to hold two bilateral seminars online. MEI Lihong and René Bormann talked about the dates, agendas, and other details of the seminars and reached a preliminary consensus.

    RenéBormann said that the bilateral seminars between FES Shanghai Office and SAI had been successfully held for years, and both parties had benefited a lot from it. Through the exchange of experts and scholars, the two parties can not only share their research expertise in their respective fields, but also discuss current hot issues. Plenty of achievements have been made at both the theoretical and practical levels, which has effectively promoted the deepening of cooperation in scientific research and decision consultation.
