On February 25, the Forum on Promote Unified Online Government Service and Digital Transformation of Urban Governance was held jointly by SPI and the Big Data Center. Co-sponsored by the General Office of the Shanghai Municipal Government and SPI, the forum was organized by SPIs innovation team of capability development for officials education and its innovation team of high-quality life promotion. XU Jiong, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPCs Shanghai Municipal Committee, ZHU Zongyao, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Municipal Government and Director of the Big Data Center, and ZENG Jun, Vice President of the SPI, attended the forum and delivered speeches.

    The experts and scholars from some colleges and institutes, such as the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (Chinese Academy of Governance), Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and East China University of Science and Technology, had an in-depth exchange of ideas with the representatives of the government departments and some enterprises, centering on such topics as what the digital transformation of urban governance is, why we should promote it, what should be done for it, its relationship with Unified Online Government Service, how to turn the Unified Online Government Service system from "capable" to "convenient" and "preferred", and how the system can help the digital transformation of urban governance.

    The nameplate-unveiling ceremony of the Shanghai Digital Government Research Center was also held at the forum. Guided by the General Office of the Municipal Government, the research center is set at  SPI to do research on deepening digital transformation of the city and building a digital government. Professor ZHAO Yong serves as the chief expert.
