On the afternoon of September 1, Shanghai Party Institute (SPI) & Shanghai Administration Institute (SAI) held the opening ceremony for the main classes in autumn 2020. YU Shaoliang, member of the Standing Committee and head of the Organization Department of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, attended and delivered a mobilization address.

  YU Shaoliang emphasized that Party members and leading cadres should thoroughly studyXIJnping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, earnestly implement the spirit of the speech delivered by General Secretary XI Jinping during his visit to Shanghai, and conscientiouslypractice the important concept of “a people’s city built by the people, and for the people,” and devote ourselves to our responsibility and fight for ourgoal with a more sober and conscious attitude. We must adhere to the path of reform and innovation, hone our abilities to accomplish the mission, ascertain the actual situation, keep a finger on the pulse, have a thorough understanding of social operations, do a good job in mass work, and improve governance capabilities.

  More than 200 people including trainees of the main classes from the 3^rd special training class on studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary XI Jinping’s important speech during his visit to Shanghai, the 120^thadvanced trainingclass for leading cadres, the 59^th training class for young and middle-aged cadres, the 99^th in-office training class for division-level civil servants in leadership positions in Shanghai government departments, etc. and leaders of SPI & SAI attended the opening ceremony.
