Although the COVID-19 is still raging worldwide, Shanghai Party Institute (SPI) & Shanghai Administration Institute (SAI) have never slowed down their international cooperation in running schools. At 9 pm on June 10, the China-Russia online round table “Public Management under the COVID-19 Pandemic” was held.

The seminar was hosted by SAI’s contracted partner,North-Western Institute of Management of the Russian Federation Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. At the invitation of the institute, four teachers from SAI’s Department of Public Administration and Department of Sociology attended the meeting. SAI teachers participated throughout the meeting, actively spoke in the discussion area, communicated and discussed with experts and scholars from various countries, and had discussions and shared results in the WeChat group for the seminar afterwards.
As the world’s second largest economy, China’s economy, society, and culture, especially its experience in fighting and preventing the COVID-19 pandemic, received much attention from foreign scholars. Both Chinese and Russian scholars made careful preparations for this meeting. SAI teachers actively participated in real-time Q&A in the online discussion area of the chat room, and communicated with foreign scholars. They were sitting in front of the screen of a computer, tablet or mobile phone, still the academic discussion was heated through all the windows, characters and letters on the screen
This seminar demonstrated to the world China’s successful experience in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, fully manifested the effectiveness of China’s public policy and public health system, as well as the modernization of China’s governance system and governance capabilities.
Afterwards, SPI & SAI will host Sino-German bilateral online seminars and Sino-Russian bilateral online academic conferences to continue international exchanges and cooperation to ensure that SPI & SAI’s international cooperation in running schools will not slow down or be interrupted.
