The 7thVietnamese Party and Government Leading Cadres Training Classwith 31 members visited Shanghai and lodged at SPI from September 26 to September 29according to the arrangement of the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC. On September 28, Provost MEI Lihong attended the themed salon and delivered a sum-up speech.
To make the visit more well-directed and effective, a training program focusing on the Vietnamese needs was designed according to relevant requirements, centering on such themes as “Following thePath of theFirst National Congress of CPC to theConsolidate Faith”, “Shanghais Economic and Social Development”, and “Party’s Grassroots Organizations Building and Public Opinion Management”. Multiple forms of activities, including a series of special presentations, field research and a themed salon, were carried out to demonstrate the process of the establishment of the Communist Party of China, showcase Shanghais achievements in the Reform and Opening-up, and exchange the experiences and practices of the two countries and their leading partiesin terms of primary-level party building and public opinion management.
Nguyen Van Thong, Head of the delegation, and Member of the Standing Committee and Chairman of the Inquiry Committee of the Soc Trang Provincial Committee of Vietnam, spoke highly of Chinas economic development achievements and expressed appreciation for the city planning and construction of Shanghai. He said that the delegations visit to Shanghai and the SPI on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China was of special significance.The delegation fully felt the warm reception and the thoughtful arrangements. And the delegation members would bring what they had seen and learnt back to Vietnam for the further construction and development of Vietnam. He also gave his best wishes for the long-lasting friendship between China and Vietnam.
