Invited by the Foreign Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee, a delegation of 21 members, headed by the Party Secretary Bashiru Ally,attended the seminar of the National Executive Committee of the Tanzanian Revolutionary Party atShanghai Party Institute. They visited Shanghai and were board in at SPI. YIN Hong, Deputy Secretary of Shanghai Committee of the CPC and President of Shanghai Party Institute, met with Bashiru Ally.Executive Vice-president SHEN Wei and Vice-presidents ZENG Jun and ZHU Lianggao met the delegation and had a discussion withthem. Vice-president LI Ning accompanied the delegation the on-the-spot investigation tour.

On the afternoon of October 24, YIN Hong met with Bashiru Ally and introduced the practice of reform and opening up in Shanghai and the education and cadre-training. During the talks, Mr. Ally said: This is my first visit to China, and I am very happy to be here in Shanghai. The city has made remarkable achievements in its economic and social construction. We hope to cooperate with Shanghai and Shanghai Party Institute in cadre-training and the building of party institutes. On the morning of October 25, SHEN Wei, ZENG Jun, ZHU Lianggao had a discussion with the delegation on the practice and experience of building and managing party institutes.

To make the on-the-spot investigation tour more pertinent and effective, SPItried its best to meet the needs of the delegation and relevant requirements, and arranged special presentations, on-site inspection and discussions around the themes such as “the experience and inspiration obtained from the reform and opening up” and “the construction and management of party institutes.” ZENG Jun introduced in detail to the delegation thecadre-training in Shanghai and accompanied Bashiru Ally to visit the campus. Mr. Ally said that Shanghai Party Institute has advanced facilities and perfect systems, and hereafter Tanzania may send its leading cadres to study here.

Accompanied by LI Ning, the delegation visited the Memorial Hall at the Site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China to learnabout how the CPC was founded，visited Shanghai University of Sport to experience traditional Chinese culture， visited the pier on Qinhuangdao Road to enjoy the sceneries on both sides of the Huangpu River. In addition, the delegation also went to Tangzhen, Pudong New Area, to interact with the residents of the community and gain an in-depth understanding of the grass-roots public service construction guided by the Party building.

Mbelwa Kairuki, the Tanzanian Ambassador to China, Sayidi Masaro, the Plenipotentiary Minister to China, and WANG Heming, Deputy Director-general of the No.4 Branch of the Foreign Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, accompanied them through the tour.

General Secretary Bashiru Ally thanked Shanghai Party Institute on behalf of the delegation for our meticulous arrangement and orderly organization to make the whole tour a smooth, pleasant and impressive journey.
