On December 19, 2017, commissioned by the training center of the Chinese Academy of Governance, Shanghai Administration Institute welcomed the 2017 seminar for Sudanese Ministry officials on China's development experience and public administration at the Institute. The seminar was composed of 20 senior and middle-level officials from the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Culture, Municipal Planning Department and other functional departments of Sudan, of whom 17 were at the ministerial level and 3 were at the departmental level. DUAN Hongxia, Deputy Director of the training center of Chinese Academy of Governance, visited Shanghai Administration Institute with the seminar members.

In the morning, ZENG Jun, Vice President of Shanghai Administration Institute, met with the seminar members and gave a brief introduction of Shanghai Administration Institute, in the company of the directors of the Foreign Affairs Division and the Division of External Training. CHEN Yongming, professor of the Economics Department, lectured on “Shanghai Economic Development and Government Management Innovation.” The members had a warm exchange and interaction with Prof. CHEN on the proportion of various enterprises in the economic development of Shanghai, key industries for Shanghai's future development, and proportion of tourism and agriculture in the GDP of Shanghai. In the afternoon, the seminar members went to China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone for a discussion with the leaders of the Administrative Committee, and visited the comprehensive service hall and Shanghai FTZ International Artwork Exchange Center. They learnt about the overall situation and effectiveness and studied the practices and experiences of the pilot reform in the free trade zone.

Mr. Osman Ahmed Fadul Wash, chief of the seminar and Minister of Ministry of Cabinet Affairs of Sudan, delivered a speech on behalf of the seminar and expressed his gratitude to Shanghai Administration Institute for the warm reception and excellent lectures. The seminar had a very fruitful visit to Shanghai, an excellent representative of China. The seminar members witnessed China's comprehensive development in various fields, took China's high-speed rail, and witnessed China's development speed and success. The friendly relationship between China and Sudan has a long history and continues to this day. They hope that the friendship between two countries will last forever.
