As commissioned by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, a senior official delegation of Alliance Pour la République from Senegal visited SAI for investigation and study from October 12 to October 16. The delegation, headed by the Ministerial Advisor of President’s Office of Senegal and Secretary of Alliance Pour la Républiques National Executive Secretariat, consisted of 20 senior officials of Alliance Pour la République.
On the morning of October 13, Vice President ZENG Jun met the delegation with a warm reception and took group photos with them. Vice President ZENG then briefed the basic information of SAI and had a talk with the delegation. The heads of the Foreign Affairs Division and Training Division also accompanied to meet the delegation.
During the visit, Prof. CHENG Zhuru, Director of Teaching and Research Department of Scientific Socialism, and Prof. ZHOU Jingqing, head of Scientific Research Division, at the invitation of SAI, introduced the contemporary political system of China and the major practices of CPC in enhancing the governing capacity. The delegation also visited China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Memorial for the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China according to the arrangement of SAI.
Mr. Abdoulaye NDOUR, head of the delegation, Ministerial Advisor of President’s Office of Senegal and Secretary of Alliance Pour la Républiques National Executive Secretariat, said that he was amazed by the achievements of China’s reform and opening up, and China’s enterprises provided plenty of assistance in infrastructure for Senegal and made a huge contribution to alleviating poverty in both Senegal and Africa. On behalf of Senegal President Macky Sall, Mr. NDOUR spoke highly of the relationship development between China and Senegal, and China’s contribution to Senegal as well as the whole Africa. He then expressed the hope to follow and draw on the experience from China’s development mode and path. He also hoped that China, as the engine of world economy, would drive the economic development of Senegal, and China’s Belt and Road Initiative may facilitate mutual benefits and win-win situation and further the cooperation and communication between the two nations.
The delegation was quite satisfied with the visit and thanked SAI for the arrangements. The members also said they had benefited a lot during the Shanghai trip.
