As commissioned by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, the 2017 public management workshop for Nepal officials at the ministerial-level was held at SAI on Sept.24. The Workshop consisted of 23 intermediate and senior officials from Nepals National Planning Commission, Office of the President & V. President, Office of Prime Minister, Office of the Auditor General, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, among whom 10 are officials at the ministerial level and 11 are officials at the department or bureau level.

    On the morning of that day, Vice President ZENG Jun, accompanied by the heads of the Foreign Affairs Division and Training Division, met the workshop members and took group photos with them. The workshop members had in-depth discussion with ZENG on how to set the topics of themed lectures and workshop courses, how to select workshop members and how to embody Chinese culture and governmental publicity in the courses, etc. Prof. WANG Zhiping, Director of the Department of Economics, gave a lecture on Shanghai’s Economic Development and Service-Oriented Government in English. The members interacted actively in heated discussions.

    Mr. BISHNU PRASAD LAMSAL, Head of the workshop and Secretary of Nepal National Planning Commission, on behalf of the workshop, thanked Vice President ZENG for his sincere and detailed introduction and the thoughtful arrangements by SAI. He said that they would share what they had learned after returning home and hoped they would have another chance to visit China and Shanghai.
