As commissioned by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, SAI received the 2017 Workshop for Sudan Public Management Officials from September 12 to 14. The workshop consisted of 24 civil servants at the ministry-level, bureau-level and division-level from the Sudan government.
On the morning of September 13, Vice President ZENG Jun, accompanied by related chiefs of the Foreign Affairs Division and the Training Division, met the members of the workshop and introduced the basic conditions of SAI. Focusing on public management, the workshop arranged for Professor CHEN Yongming of the Economics Department to give a lecture on “Shanghai Economic Development and Governmental Administration Innovation” and Professor LIU Zhongqi of the Sociology Department on “Promoting Service-based Government Construction and Refining Social Governance” at the Administrative Service Center of Xuhui District. The members proactively raised questions in class and exchanged in-depth views with lecturers. At the Administrative Service Center of Xuhui District, they had heated interactions, experienced how administrative affairs could be tackled through “Internet plus” and learned the full details of the operation mechanism for applying big data and cloud computing to governmental public services, city dynamic supervision and social governance.
Kamal Tagelsir Elshikh Abdalla, Head of the workshop and an official of Sudan Animal Resources Ministry said in the panel discussion: “Shanghai enjoys high economic development level. It is amazing how the government proactively applies advanced technology to public management, and we have learned a lot of abundant and useful information that can broaden our horizons and have the value for our reference.”
