As commissioned by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, the 2017 Algeria Regional Planning and Local Economic Development Class was at SAI for study and research from May 30 to 31. The class consisted of 25 officials at the department or bureau level from the Ministry of the Interior and local administrative provinces of Algeria. Mr. LIU Gang, Deputy Director of the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, also visited SAI along with the class.
    On the morning of May 30, Provost MEI Lihong met the class members with enthusiasm and made a basic introduction of SAI. The directors of the Foreign Affairs Division and Training Division attended the meeting. Professor CHEN Yongming from the Teaching and Research Department of Economics lectured on the topic “Shanghais Economic Development and Innovation in Government Administration”. In the afternoon, the class paid a visit to the administrative service center of Xuhui District where they inspected the office model of “internet + government  affairs”and experienced online and offline integrated government affairs service. They had active interaction and heated discussion in class.
    TOUFIK MEZHOUD, monitor of the 2017 Algeria Regional Planning and Local Economic Development Class and Secretary General of Annaba Province of the Ministry of the Interior, thanked SAI for the thoughtful arrangements on behalf of the class. He pointed out that China and Algeria had established comprehensive strategic partnership and had in-depth cooperation in economics, culture, tourism and many other fields. He said this trip to China was like visiting their own second hometown, due to the friendly government and the people. Shanghai left a very deep impression on them for its comfortable life and hospitality. They learned many valuable things, broadened their vision, enhanced friendship and developed a strong relationship during the trip. He also expressed his hope that China would have further development in fields such as politics, economics and culture in the future.
    As Shanghai was the last stop of their study tour in China, the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance held a simple closing ceremony and issued a certificate of completion to each class member.
