On February 16, Joseph Doucet, Dean of School of Business, University of Alberta, paid a visit to Shanghai Administration Institute, accompanied by his School Deputy Dean. Mr. Guo Qingsong, Vice President of SAI, hosted a talk with them.
Guo welcomed the arrival of Mr. Joseph Doucet and his colleague,and pointed out that Shanghai Administration Institute has maintained relatively stable cooperation partnership with 36 well-known universities and training institutes all over the world, including the state-level administration institutes and think tanks. Benefiting from cooperating and resource-sharing with them , SAI is improving its comprehensive capacity of teaching and training as well as upgrading its integrity of teaching, research and consultation. Guo said that SAI and Alberta University are now running many collaborative programs successfully in terms of receiving Alberta’s MBA and undergraduate visiting delegations, sending SAI’s academic delegations and visiting scholars to Alberta, inviting Alberta’s experts to attend SAI’s international academic conferences. As arranged, SAI will send two visiting scholars to Alberta University, in order to have a thorough research in the field of coordinated development of regional economy as well as improving their spoken English. .
Joseph Doucet expressed his gratitude to SAI and referred that he had been here three years before. He was impressed by the rapid development of SAI. He spoke highly of SAI’s efforts in arranging the activities of the MBA and undergraduate visiting delegations of Alberta University in recent years. He sincerely hoped that the two parties would strengthen academic cooperation and communication, and emphasized that Alberta University would stretch out hands to SAI delegations.
