On November 22, entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, a Study-and-Research Class for Bangladesh Senior and Intermediate Civil Servants was held in our institute. The class consisted of 30 senior and intermediate officials from Bangladesh government departments, including the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Information, Ministry of Education, Ministry of National Defense, etc.

    On the morning of November 22, Vice President ZENG Jun met the class members and took a group photo with them, accompanied by directors of the Foreign Affairs Division and Training Division. Professor WANG Zhiping, Director of the Economics Teaching & Research Department, Professor MA Xiheng, Director of the Sociology Teaching & Research Department and Associate Professor LI Wei from the Sociology Teaching & Research Department gave speeches respectively themed “Shanghai Economic Development and Construction and Service-oriented Government” and “Innovation and Practice in Structural Reform of Shanghai Social Governance---- Participation of Non-Government Forces in Social Administration”. Students had active interactions with teachers on such topics as the current situation of China’s anti-corruption and how to address yawning gap between the rich and the poor. They discussed questions in a lively atmosphere.

    Mr. Rizwan Khair, class monitor and Director of Regional Council in Savar, Dhaka city of Bangladesh, made a speech on behalf of the class, appreciating the thoughtful arrangements by Shanghai Administration Institute. They hope to continue the international exchange and cooperation between China and Bangladesh, and further promote the sustainable development of training programs after returning home.
