On October 31st, Mr. Jose Ramon Diaz Delgado, Vice Rector of the Higher School of Cadres of State and Government of Cuba (ESCEG), paid an official visit to Shanghai Administration Institute (SAI). Guo Qingsong, Vice-President of SAI, hosted the meeting.
Guo Qingsong extended his welcome to Mr. Delgado and recalled that he visited ESCEG of Cuba in August this year, received a hospitable reception and discussed the cooperation program. Then Guo Qingsong introduced the SAI’s program for Cuba managers of State-owned enterprises in the aspects of the teaching faculty, curriculum designs, teaching methods, duration of training period and trainees’ management. The program is tentatively divided into two sessions. The first session with 3 or 4 days long will start in the first half of 2017, and 3 or 4 teachers at SAI will be sent to Cuba to give lectures on “Bases of the Management of Enterprises in China”. Given the budget is settled, the second session will start in the second half of 2017. Trainees with the number from 20 to 25 selected by ESCEG will be sent to SAI to receive three-week-long training on “Management of Enterprises in China” in the form of lectures, symposiums, simulations, on-the-site teaching and so on. Mr. Guo expressed his sincere willing to get suggestions from ESCEG of Cuba and that all the program arrangement could be rectified and adjusted according to the trainees’ need.
Mr. Delgado expressed his gratitude for what SAI had done and his satisfaction for the program design. He conveyed his hope that the training program would produce more opportunities of cooperation between Chinese and Cuba enterprises, therefore further deepen trading between China and Cuba. After the meeting, Mr. Delgado visited teaching facilities at SAI.
