On November 30, Secretary General of the Algerian Ministry of Internal Affairs and Local Administration headed a delegation to visit Shanghai Administration Institute. Mr. Guo Qingsong, Vice President of SAI, hosted a talk with him. Guo welcomed the delegation and introduced SAI’s group school-running system as 1+5. He generalized SAI’s four functions as training, research, think tank and degree education. Guo spoke highly of SAI’s open school-running education and said that SAI has maintained relatively stable cooperation partnership with 36 renowned universities and training institutes all over the world, among which were Harward University, University of Oxford, Italy National School of Administration, Brazil National School of Administration, Argentina National School of Administration. Thanks to those partnership, SAI now has an optimal cooperation network globally. Guo sincerely invited experts and scholars from Algeria to participate in international conferences at SAI, and welcomed the delegation consisting of government officials to SAI for training. In this way the two parties can share each other’s experience in city governance and transportation improvement. Furthermore, Guo also discussed with the Secretary General on some details of signing a MOU.          

    Elhocine Mazouz, Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Local Administration of Algeria, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to SAI for receiving them. He said that SAI owns good learning environments and fine cultural richness, as well as colorful training programs and professional facilities, which is a solid guarantee for training. Besides, Shanghai has been developing fast in recent years but the city management is well organized and everything seems in good order. Algeria is now confronted with many problems in city governance that Shanghai has experienced in the past few years, so it is in a great need to carry out cooperation and keep exchange with Shanghai Administration Institute in specific areas to promote the common development of both parties. He also proposed to sign a MOU between each other to strengthen the cooperation.

    The delegation also paid a visit to the teaching facilities and simulation rooms of SAI, and gave a high appraise of it.
