2016 Further Training Class for Mexican Members at Public Sector Held at SAI

    Entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, the Further Training Class for Mexican Members at Public Sectors in 2016 was held in our institute from 21 to 24, November. The trainees consisted of 19 senior and intermediate officials from Mexican government departments including the Immigration Office, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and Commission of Banking and Securities, and National Institute of Public Administration of Mexico (INAP).

    On the morning of 23rd, Provost MEI Lihong met class members and took a group photo to mark the occasion, accompanied by the directors of the Training Department. Associate Professor LI Meng from Economics Teaching & Research Department gave a lecture on “Shanghai Economic Development”. In the afternoon, trainees visited China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, attended on-the-spot lectures and learned about the pilot reform in the Pilot Free Trade Zone. And the trainees had active interactions with lecturers on such topics as Shanghai’s municipal construction, traffic jam, loading capacity of ports and modes of transportation, sources and treatment of potable water, the ratio of population receiving higher education, the employment and living conditions of foreigners in Shanghai, etc., and shared Mexico’s experience in urban construction, urban planning and so on.

    Mr. Ivan Lazcano Gutierrez, the monitor of the Further Training Class, and the Deputy Director of Scientific Research Office of INAP, made a speech on behalf of the class,appreciating the thoughtful arrangement and warm reception by Shanghai Administration Institute. He said the valuable learning opportunity allowed them to learn a lot of managerial experience from China and they had sweet memories of China. It was believed that all members had learned something. After returning home, they would express the precious friendship with the Chinese people and apply what they had learned to work. It’s hoped that there would be more practical and in-depth communications and reciprocal visits between INAP and Shanghai Administration Institute in the future.
