On October 12, Ms. Lisette Lindahl, Consul General of Sweden Consulate General in Shanghai, paid an official visit to Shanghai Administration Institute. Mr. Guo Qingsong, Vice President of SAI, hosted a talk with her. Guo welcomed Sweden Consul General’s visiting and briefed SAI’s by illustrating the group school-running system as 1+5. He pointed out that SAI functions four major tasks, namely, public servants training, academic research, think tank, and graduate education. When talking about international cooperation and exchange, Guo emphasized that SAI has maintained relatively stable cooperation partnership with 35 renowned universities and training institutes all over the world. A delegation of SAI paid an academic visiting to Sweden and Switzerland in 2015 and learned a lot from the mutual exchange with the relevant institutions. Based on the good relationship with them, SAI was planning to send another delegation to Sweden again this year with the theme of government official training and public administration. Guo hoped that Consul General could provide necessary support to this delegation, and he also invited experts and scholars from Sweden to communicate with SAI. Ms. Lisette Lindahl, Consul General of Sweden Consulate General in Shanghai, expressed her gratitude to SAI. She said that she had been working in Sweden Beijing Embassy for over 2 years and took office in Shanghai this September. She was in full support of the bilateral cooperation between Shanghai Administration Institute and its counterparts in Sweden. Besides, she encouraged the two parties to strengthen academic exchanges in the fields of humanities and academies, environment protection and social pension, and hold various bilateral academic seminars to promote the joint development. After the meeting, Consul General also took a tour around the campus and visited the teaching facilities, and expressed a positive appraise.
