On October 22, Mr. Guo Qingsong, Vice President of SAI, welcomed the delegation from Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Political Institute of Zone II, who were participating in the International Conference on Innovation of Science & Technology and Metropolis Economy Transition.

    Guo extended his warm welcome to the Vietnam delegation. He encouraged the delegation members to deliver insightful presentations at the international conference to exchange their ideas with other participants mutually. Guo mentioned that he had been to Ho Chi Minh City, and knew the important role of the city to Vietnam. Just like Shanghai’s position in China, Ho Chi Minh City also confronted with the similar problems in the course of innovation of technology and economic transition. By attending the discussion and exchange ideas with experts and practitioners from all over the world, the participants would definitely benefit a lot and learn some valuable experience in constructing the city economy and promote the social development in Ho Chi Minh City.

    In order to let the delegation have a more thorough understanding of SAI, Guo then introduced the “1+5” school running system and outlined the framework of cadre training institutions. He also recommended that the delegation should visit Branch One of SAI to learn more about its operation and features. Finally, Guo discussed with PHAN CONG KHANH, the head of the Vietnam delegation, about the details of the visiting delegation of SAI to Ho Chi Minh City on the theme of “Social Policy Development of Government Official Training” in December.  

    PHAN CONG KHANH, the head of the Vietnam delegation as well as Vice president of Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Political Institute of Zone II, expressed his gratitude to Shanghai Administration Institute. He said that it was the third time for him to visit SAI, and attached great importance to the bilateral collaboration between the two parties. He was amazed by the fruitful change and rapid development of SAI year by year, and expected to enlarge the cooperation between each other in the future.
