A Russian Training Class of Public Administration Held at SAI

    On Sept. 22 and 23, a Public Administration Training Class for Russian Senior and Intermediate Civil Servant jointly held by Chinese Academy of Governance and School of Public Administration of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) had their training in our institute. The class consisted of 19 experts and scholars from MSU, the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Finance and other ministries of Russia. Mr. SHAO Wenhai, former Director of the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, came along to visit our institute.

    On the afternoon of Sept. 22, Provost MEI Lihong met the delegation and briefed on our institute in the company of the heads of the Foreign Affairs Office and Division of Training. Professor CHEN Yongming from the Department of Economics and Management lectured on “Shanghai’s Economic Development and Administrative Innovation” and introduced the general situation of Shanghai’s economic development, economic restructuring and administrative innovation. The trainees went to the Administration Service Center of Xuhui District, where they investigated the “internet + government affairs” office mode and experienced the integrated online and offline government services, and visited China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone where they learned about the pilot reform of the free trade zone. They also visited the headquarters of Pudong Development Bank and learned of the basic development of China’s banking sector. When they were on campus, they also visited the emergency management and media communication training labs and experienced Tai Chi martial art performance.

    Mr. Vladimir Eremin, head of the training class and First Vice President of School of Public Administration of MSU, made a speech on behalf of the training class and thanked for the gracious hospitality of Shanghai Administration Institute. He said he was honored to visit here with his delegation again, and the impression given by the institute on him was as great as the first time he came, and that the high attention paid by Chinese government and Shanghai municipal government on civil servant training and quality promotion was very much worth learning.
