As entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, our institute received Algerian Human Resource Management Training Class of 2016, which consisted of 20 senior officials from the Ministry of Interior of Algeria, to offer training from Sept. 20 to Sept. 22. Mr. JIANG Wei, Deputy Director of the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, was along to visit our institute.

    On the morning of Sept. 20, Provost MEI Lihong met the delegation and briefed on our institute in the company of the heads of the Foreign Affairs Office and Division of Training. LI Meng, Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Management, lectured on “Shanghai’s Economic Development” focused on eight characteristics including solid financial strength, first-class infrastructure, as well as advanced science, education, culture and health care, etc.

    Trainees actively exchanged views and communicated with the lecturer on the relationship between Shanghai’s economic development and the extent of Shanghainese’ freedom and openness, the distinctiveness of Shanghai compared with Hangzhou, Beijing and other cities, cooperation between enterprises and national policies, and the difference in social security systems between China and Algeria, etc. In the afternoon, the trainees visited the LNG simulated ship cabin of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. and learned about the history of ship-building and development of the company.

    Mr. Hamdi Slimane, head of the training class and director of the Ministry of Interior, made a speech on behalf of the training class and thanked for the thoughtful arrangement and wonderful lectures arranged by Shanghai Administration Institute, which allowed them to learn the important contribution made by the institute to Shanghai’s development and construction. He expressed that Algeria also had a training agency like this and hoped for more exchanges to learn from each other and share experiences.

    As Shanghai was the delegation’s last stop for study and visit in China, the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance held a brief closing ceremony in our institute and issued course-completion certificates to the trainees.
