The First Party Spirit Education Classroom Themed Reform and Opening-up in the Nationwide Party Institute System Carries out Pilot Run in Shanghai Party Institute of CPC

    After intense preparation for over two years, the Party Spirit Education Classroom of Shanghai Party Institute of CPC was established and put into pilot operation recently. This is the first Party Spirit Education Classroom themed Reform and Opening-up in the nationwide Party institute system.

    This themed classroom is a teaching program under key constructions developed by Shanghai Party Institute of CPC with the focus on its major works and main courses in the institute, aiming to enhance the efficiency and pertinence of Party spirit education by exploring the abundant resources of Party spirit education carried out in Shanghai’s Reform and Opening-up Drive and by educating the cadres with vivid history of Reform and Opening-up. The course is comprised of three parts, namely, the documentary “Great Trend—Retrospective of Shanghai’s Reform and Opening-up Drive”, the themed lecture “Mission, Responsibility and Wisdom—the Party Spirit in Shanghai’s Reform and Opening-up” and “The Bellwethers and Pioneers—Exhibition of Shanghai’s Reform and Opening-up Process”. The course, in the form of interviews with the witnesses of the reform, collects interviews with many witnesses of Shanghai’s Reform and Opening-up as well as abundant documentations, pictures and precious historical videos. It also gives a direct presentation of the magnificent and soul-stirring Reform and Opening-up process of Shanghai over three decades by the information-technology-based teaching approach. The course aims to motivate and inspire the trainees with excellent qualities and Party spirit including the sense of mission, consciousness of responsibility, wisdom and courage that Shanghai cadres displayed in Reform and Opening-up.
