On May 31^st, entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, Shanghai Administration Institute has the 2016 China Economic Development and China-Arab Cooperation Class. The 37 class members officials came from different countries and international organizations including Egypt, Sudan and Algeria; of whom 17 were directors general and 20 directors. And JIANG Wei, deputy director of the Training Center of China Academy of Governance, visited the Institute tother.

    Accompanied by directors of the Foreign Affairs Office and the Training Division, MEI Lihong, the provost of the Institute, met them warmly, and gave an overview of the Institute. Professor CHEN Yongming from the Department of Economics and Management delivered a lecture titled “Shanghai’s Economic Development and Government Administration Innovation”, which covered Shanghai’s economic development and transition and government administration innovation. The class witnessed heated discussion and communication between the students and the teacher on such topics as industrial transformation, urban construction, investment environment and source of foreign-owned enterprises.

    On behalf of the class, Amr Abdelwareth, head of the class monitor and assistant to the deputy minister of Asian Affairs of the Egypt Foreign Affairs Ministry, extended gratitude to the Institute for the considerate arrangement and wished to take this opportunity to have a better understanding of Shanghai.
