Entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, Shanghai Administration Institute had a Cuban and Mexican teachers-training class from June 19th to 22nd, and the 40 trainees were from Cuban National Government Official Academy and Mexican National Public Administration Academy together with some intermediate and senior officials. LIU Hongyi, director of the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance accompanied the class at SAI.
On the morning of 20th, Vice President of the Institute ZENG Jun warmly received the class. The directors of the Foreign Affairs Office and the Training Division were present at the meeting. ZENG Jun gave a brief introduction of the Institute and the class had a discussion about the training and courses with SAI’s three professors: TANG Juelan of the Economics Department, and SHEN Shiguang and RUAN Chuansheng of the Public Management Department. In the afternoon, the class went to China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone, learned about the reform and trial of the Zone, and visited the comprehensive service hall, Waigaoqian International Exhibition and the Trading Center of Wine & Beverage. PAN Wenxuan of Shanghai Development Institute and YE Minhua of the Economics Department displayed and introduced the class the complete teaching process of the Institute’s training classes for foreign trainees.
On the morning of 21st, the class viewed a documentary describing the development of simulation training courses at SAI’s, then visited four simulation training labs. The heads of four training programs, DONG Youhong, ZHAO Yong, CHEN Hui and LIU Hengchao, respectively introduced their own training courses, and had a heated discussion with the class.
On behalf of the Cuban trainees, Ms. Mercedes Delgado Fernández, head of the Cuban trainees and President of Cuban National Government Official Academy, thanked the Institute for the careful arrangement, expressed their satisfaction for the curricula, contents and teaching methods, and wished to deepen the friendship and cooperation among Cuba, Mexico and China in this opportunity. On behalf of the Mexican trainees, Ever Ramos Gonzalez, head of the Mexican trainees and the deputy director of Mexican National Public Administration Academy, expressed his appreciation for the Institute’s considerate arrangement. He said, China as a great country is the model for Mexico in various aspects, such as economic achievements, infrastructure, and port construction; they were happy to take part in the study in SAI’s beautiful environment; and they were honored to study with the Cuban fellows, hoping for more similar trainings and communications to enhance mutual friendship.
