Entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, 2016 Algerian Local Fiscal Official Seminar came to Shanghai Administration Institute (SAI) for further studies from April 26 to 27. The Seminar was composed of 20 high-and- medium-ranking officials from the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Algeria who are in charge of the fiscal work in various local administrative provinces, including three at the director general  level and 17 at the division level. JIANG Wei, Deputy Director of the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, accompanied the seminar on the visit.

    MEI Lihong, Provost of SAI, warmly received the members of the Seminar and introduced the basic information about SAI on the afternoon of April 26. The chiefs of the Foreign Affairs Office and of the Training Division attended the meeting. Professor WANG Zhipingm chief of Economics Department presented trainees a special lecture on the “Retrospect and Prospect of the Economic and Social Development in Shanghai”, introducing such contents as the overall situation of economic development, local fiscal management and input, and the role of governmental administrative organs in economy in Shanghai, and exchanged with them on such issues as the urban construction and rural-urban development divide in Shanghai and economic crisis. On the morning of April 27, the trainees of the Seminar came to the Headquarter of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank with a history of 100 years for on-the-spot teaching, and Associate Professor LI Dunrui of the Economics Department briefed them the basic situation of the banking industry development in China to help them have a better understanding of the financial and fiscal policy practices in China.

    Mr. AHMED BELHADDAD, monitor of 2016 Algerian Local Fiscal Official Seminar and Secretarial-General of Local Administrative Provinces of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Algeria, on behalf of the Seminar, expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful arrangements by SAI and pleasure for being capable of visiting and studying in Shanghai, the second largest city and an economic center in China. Mr. MOHAMED FERRARI, representative of the trainees, remarked that this was a pleasant opportunity to learn about Shanghai, and both Algeria and China established strategic cooperative partnership in 2014 under the strong support by local finance organs for Sino-Algerian cooperation. He also learnt many good practices  from local fiscal and taxation work by coming to Shanghai this time, which would provide good references for local economic development in Algeria.
