Entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, Shanghai Administration Institute received senior and intermediate Mongolian civil servants to research and study on December 7. The class consisted of 18 officials at the bureau or division level from the Cabinet Secretariat of Mongolia, the National Academy of Governance (NAOG), Defense University of Mongolia, Ministries of Education, Finance and Labor. JIANG Wei, the Deputy Director of Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, visited SAI with the class.
On the morning of that day, Provost MEI Lihong met the training class students with enthusiasm and introduced the development situation of SAI from the following three aspects, the system, conditions and characteristics of our institute. LI Ning, a member of the School Board and the Deputy Inspector hosted a welcome feast for the class on behalf of SAI. The heads of Foreign Affairs Office and Training Department were present.
The training class aimed at getting knowledge of fundamental realities in China and the governance experience by the Chinese Government. Therefore, Professor TANG Juelan of Teaching and Research Department of Economics of SAI was appointed to introduce the economic and social development of Shanghai and Professor PAN Hongyan of Teaching and Research Department of Sociology was invited to organize the students to go to Lingyun Sub-district to get to know Shanghai’s achievement on-site in regard of exploring the construction of residents’ self-governance.
Mr. Shadrav Tudev, the monitor of the training class and professor of the Department of Social Psychology of Mongolian Academy of Governance said on behalf of the training class: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to visit Shanghai Administration Institute. Professor Kiwi MacDermid, the Dean of Mongolian Academy of Governance visited Shanghai Administration Institute yesterday and officially signed an MOU with your Institute and today we come to your Institute for learning, which is very exciting. Chinese economy has developed rapidly and China has made remarkable achievements in recent years. Mongolian people often say ‘Seeing is believing’. Today we are all astounded to see on our own the great results of Shanghai’s development. We wonder how the socialist countries like China develop their economic. We have also found some of the answers in this training, and learnt some of the experience in terms of the management of community construction in China. Some practices are worthy of our reference. We will take the experience back to our country. Thanks for the warm reception from Shanghai Administration Institute. We hope Shanghai Administration Institute will become an influential institute in the world.
