Author:XU Hui Publish:2015-12-14

On December 7, Guo Qingsong, Vice President of Shanghai Administration Institute, met the delegation from Italian National School of Administration (SNA), who came for a bilateral seminar about Economic Development and Technological Innovation at SAI.

Guo welcomed the delegation from Italy. He said that after signing the cooperation agreement between each other in 2010, Shanghai Administration Institute and Italian National School of Administration began to host bilateral seminars in Shanghai and Rome in turn every year. In the recent 6 years, more than 10 seminars have been held under this mechanism, covering public administration, public management, economic development, cultural protection, etc. The participants were expanded from professors to government officials, enterprise leaders and industrial experts. Moreover, the topics got to be diversified and open, and the fruits of the seminars not only improved the teaching and researching strength, but also provided valuable consultation for government decision-making. Guo hoped that both parties could enlarge cooperative scopes and deepen mutual communication continually.

Prof. Alberto Petrucci, Director of Research Division of SNA, expressed his satisfaction with the fruitful achievements between SNA and SAI. He mentioned that he had visited SAI for many times with a full understanding of its comprehensive strength. Because of that, he also introduced many professors from other well-known universities and experts from the government in Italy to participate in the bilateral meetings, such as the delegates Ms. Silvana La Bella, Executive at Italian Ministry of Economic Development, Directorate of International Trade Policy, Mr. Fabrizio Cafaggi, Professor at European University Institute, and Mr. Giovanni Fattore, Professor at Bocconi University. These professors and experts were very interested in the bilateral dialogue between Italy and China through such kind of seminars, since they could find out aspirations and effective ways to deal with the commonly-faced problems in both countries.

Italian Consulate General in Shanghai and Italian Trade Commission, Shanghai Office also sent representatives to participate in the bilateral seminar held at Shanghai Administration Institute.
