On May 20, Guo Qingsong met a delegation from Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Zone I, which was accompanied by Beijing Administration Institute.
Guo welcomed the delegation on behalf of Shanghai Administration Institute. He said that SAI had received several delegations from Vietnam in recent years,such as Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy. SAI and Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Zone II are contracted partners and the interactions between both sides have been satisfactory for many years. Guo then indicated three features of SAI, namely, 1+5 group school-running system, education globalization and the integration of training, research and consultation. The main campus of SAI is in charge of the training for senior public servants, such as the training for directors-general and their candidates. The five branches of SAI are responsible for the training for division-director and below, highlighting the respective industry characteristics. SAI has established stable partnership with about 30 institutes and universities all over the world in the fields of public servants training, academic research, visiting scholars, visiting delegations and bilateral and international conferences. Besides traditional methods, SAI adopts diversified modern training methods, such as on-the-spot teaching, case study, seminar and symposium, scene simulation. Until now, there are four simulation training labs in SAI, namely, emergency management, media communication, psychological adjustment and financial operation.
The Head of Vietnam delegation, Hoang Van Hoan, vice president of Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Zone I, expressed his gratitude for SAI’s reception. He said that his institute had maintained good relations with Beijing Administration Institute for more than ten years, just like the relations between Zone II and SAI. The majority of this delegation came to China for the first time, and they were greatly impressed by SAI’s advanced teaching facilities and modern training methods. China is the most important collaborating partner of Vietnam and they share similar system and mechanism in official training, which provides great potential for mutual exchange between each other. He also expected delegations from SAI to exchange with Zone I.
