On May 14, Guo Qingsong，Vice President of SAI, met the visiting delegation from University of Georgia (UGA).

Guo extended his warm welcome to the delegation. He said that SAI and UGA had been good old friends for many years, and the two parties had been maintaining good relationship all the time. He added that 2015 was a special year for both of us, because we had reached an agreement for the training program themed as “Construction of Technology Innovation Center”, which would last three weeks in UGA. Guo then briefed SAI’s group school-running system as 1+5. With the total area of over 500 mu (approximately 82 acres) and total staff members and employees of over 500, SAI can train more than 50000 person times each year. The main campus is in charge of the comprehensive training for Party leaders and public officials in Shanghai, and the 5 branches are respectively responsible for the training in cultural publicity, politics and laws, urban construction and transport, science & technology and education and healthcare, management of economy and state-owned enterprises, highlighting the characteristics of different industries. Guo then pointed out that open-mindedness is one of the distinctive features of SAI in running the institute. SAI has developed stable cooperation partnership with well-known universities，public-servant-training institutions and administration institutes all over the world, implementing multi-level cooperation modes with them, such as public-servant-training, public administration, academic and scientific research, guest-scholar-exchanging, and governmental decision-making and consultation, etc.

Jennifer, vice president of the University of Georgia, expressed her gratitude for SAI’s reception. She spoke highly of the mutual cooperation between UGA and SAI based on the long-term relationship. The visiting delegation of UGA would pay visits to China nearly every year to have talks with its partners and make assessments for the ongoing cooperative programs. She said that she visited SAI as director of Carl Vinson Institute of Government, UGA, several years ago, and now she was the vice president of UGA. Her change of position would better promote the partnership between UGA and SAI. She also hoped that SAI would send more academic delegations to UGA for further communications.
