A 7-member visiting delegation from Vietnam headed by Dr. Nguyen Thi Bao, Head of Board of Inspection, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, visited SAI on November 21st. Their main purpose was to learn about the training experience of anti-corruption at SAI and the new measures taken by the CPC to combat corruption.

Prof. Guo Qingsong, VP of SAI, met the delegation and hosted the academic discussion. Prof. Liu Zonghong, Director of the Department of Party History and Party Building of SAI, gave a presentation of SAIs training modes for anti-corruption and the new measures taken by the CPC Central Committee to combat corruption, particularly after the 18th CPC National Congress. Prof. Liu mentioned that our Party is by and large satisfactory, however, we must be aware that the task of combating corruption is long-termed, complicated and arduous. We should continue to catch "tigers" as well as "flies" when dealing with cases of leading officials in violation of the Party disciplines and state laws as well as misconduct and corruption problems. The solution to corruption problems is that power is "caged " by the system and we should form a punishment mechanism to deter corruption, a warning mechanism to prevent corruption and a guarantee mechanism to curb corruption.

The Vietnam delegation put forward a few questions after having Prof. Lius presentation. They had a discussion on how to prevent power trap and how to have self-criticism.

   The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics has been maintaining a good relationship with the Central Party School of CPC and SAI. And SAI has established the formal academic cooperation with the Academy of Politics, Region II, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
