Dr. Valeriy Matsel, Consul-General of the Republic of Belarus in Shanghai visited SAI on October 20th. Prof. Guo Qingsong, VP of SAI greeted him and had a friendly talk with him.

    It was Dr. Matsels second time to SAI. And his first time to SAI dated back to the year 2002, when he came with a delegation from the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus. His coming is in preparation for the visit of Director of the General Office of the President. According to the schedule, the Director will head a 5-member delegation, accompanied by the Ambassador to China, and visit SAI on October 30th. They expect to learn more about SAIs government officials training and research, and if possible, they would like to visit SAIs teaching facilities. Moreover, they will take advantage of the visit to explore the possibility of establishing mutual cooperation with SAI.

    On behalf of SAI, Prof. Guo expected the general-office directors visit to SAI in the near future. He briefed SAI for Dr. Matsel. Now SAI has developed into a large training group with one headquarter campus and five branch institutes. Modern training modes and facilities are put into effect, and four simulation training laboratories are a good example exhibiting SAIs rapid development. SAI welcomes academic cooperation with foreign counterparts such as the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
