On October 27, Wang Guoping, Executive President of Shanghai Administration Institute met Ana Candida Perez, Consul General of Brazil in Shanghai
Wang welcomed Consul General on behalf of Shanghai Administration Institute. He appreciated the effort of Consul General in promoting the visit of SAI, headed by Vice President Guo Qingsong, to Brazil’s National School of Public Administration (ENAP) and Fundacao Getulio Vargas (FGV) this September. Wang briefed SAI by explaining the four main functions of SAI, namely, training Party leaders and public servants for Shanghai, carrying out scientific research, serving as a think tank for Shanghai Municipal Committee of CPC and Shanghai Municipal Government and providing Master degree and MPA education. In recent years, SAI has been maintaining good partnership with 28 institutes and universities all over the world. In order to enhance this international exchange, SAI would work together with Brazil’s institutes in academic and cultural areas. He also expected that Consulate General of Brazil in Shanghai would continue to support the exchanges between SAI and institutes in Brazil.
Ana expressed her gratitude to SAI for offering this opportunity to meet together. She said that one of the main goals of the Brazil Consulate General is to promote the cooperation between universities and institutes in Brazil and Shanghai, and offer all necessary assistance to them. Shanghai has set a good example in many areas such as city planning and constructions, which is a valuable experience for Brazil. She also expressed her wishes of promoting the joint research between SAI and institutes in Brazil during her tenure of office in Shanghai.
