Commissioned by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, Shanghai Administration Institute received the seminar of Vietnamese Party and government officials on October 20. The seminar consisted of 28 members, who were all officials at the director-general level from the central committee of Vietnamese Communist Party and local governments in charge of finance and economy. LIU Jinghua, deputy director of the Economic Cooperation Center of International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, and LIU Gang, deputy director of the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, visited the institute along with the seminar.
On the day, GUO Qingsong, vice-president of the institute, met the members of the seminar and briefed them about the management system, training scale, training courses, teaching staff, training methods and open education of the institute.
Afterwards, the members attended the lecture given by Professor WANG Zhiping, director of the Economics Education and Research Department, on "Review and Prospect of Shanghais Reform and Opening up" and exchanged opinions on the construction of Shanghai as a financial center, income distribution, talent introduction, internationalized training of cadres, etc. In the afternoon, the members visited Shanghai Pudong Development Bank and MU Shi, vice-president of the bank, made a brief introduction on the general situation of Shanghai’s financial industry, as well as the development history and status quo of the bank.
On behalf of all members, Lê Hồng Huyên, head of the Social Affairs Division of the Economics Department of the Central Committee of VCP, said that the seminar was meaningful due to its vivid contents despite their short duration at Shanghai and such exchanges and visits were essential for the development of Vietnam. He thanked the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, Chinese Academy of Governance and Shanghai Administration Institute for the good training conditions provided by them, which contributed to the success of the seminar and hoped that Vietnamese officials at all levels could have more opportunities to visit China to learn its experience of development.
