On May 14, entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, SAI had a training class of totally 40 trainees from Burundi and Niger, among whom, 20 Burundian trainees were magistrates of each region and officials of the Ministry of Interior and the other 20 trainees from Niger were the officials from the institutions including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry on Public Service, the Coordination Bureau, the Office of President, universities, the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Planning. They were in one class to be trained.

That day, Deputy President ZHU Hua received the members of the seminar, introducing them to the general situation of SAI, and the head of the Division of Foreign Affairs attended the meeting.

Professor WANG Zhiping of the Economics Department of SAI delivered a special lecture on the general situation of the economic development in Shanghai, and made enough exchange with the trainees on the topics such as the historical transformation, urban planning, traffic and transportation, social status of women, unemployment rate and foreign investment in Shanghai. The same day, the trainees also went to Linfen Road Sub-district for on-site teaching, learning about the situation of grassroots-Party-organizations building at communities in China.

Mr. Niyoungabo Ferdenand, head of the Burundian group in the Seminar and an advisor to the Office of Minister of the Ministry of Interior of Burundi, excitedly remarked，"We are very grateful to Chinese Academy of Governance and Shanghai Administration Institute for the friendly and warm reception for us; the training has enabled us to learn more about the development of China and increased vitality to the cultural exchange between Burundi and China; and we will grasp and make full use of the opportunities for training to the fullest extent and to apply what we learned to the urban construction in Burundi to build our cities as well as Shanghai."

Head of the Nigerien group in the Seminar, Ms. Mme Abdourhaman Amina Moussa from the Coordination Bureau of Niger said passionately, "We have sensed the friendliness and hospitality of Chinese friends in the arrangement for training, so each of us holds great approval and appreciation for the careful organization of Chinese friends. As May 13 is the Women’s Day in Niger, it is extraordinarily unforgettable to spend this festival at SAI; after returning to Niger, we will tell the Chinese Ambassador to Niger about what we have seen and heard in Shanghai and China, and we are impressed by the wisdom and elegance of Chinese people, because they are creating a better and happier world for women, children and next generation. And we sincerely wish an ever-lasting friendly cooperation between Niger and China. "
