Entrusted by the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, Public Administration Seminar for the Civil Servants of African English-speaking Countries was running at Shanghai Administration Institute (SAI) on the morning of March 20. All the 18 trainees got the training,who were civil servants at the level of Director-general and Director respectively from ten African countries as follows: Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Lesotho, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Nigeria, Mauritius and South Sudan. CHENG Cize, Deputy Director of the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, paid a visit to SAI together with the seminar.
On the very day, ZENG Jun, Dean of SAI, received the members of the seminar, introducing them the general situation of SAI. Professor Wang Zhiping, Chief of Economics Department, made a special lecture in English on the general situation of Shanghai economic development for the trainees, which was well appreciated by them.
Last year, with the entrustment of the Training Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, SAI successively conducted four training programs for the civil servants of African countries including Tanzania, Niger, Namibia and Burundi. The successive holding of the seminars enlarged the scope of African officials and civil servants trained at SAI from 10 African countries to 15.
