On May 25, 2024, the Initiative on Joint Development and Sharing of Teaching, Research and Consultation Resources of Party Schools (Administration Institutes) in the Yangtze River Delta jointly signed by Shanghai Party Institute of CPC (Shanghai Administration Institute), Party School of CPC Jiangsu Committee (Jiangsu Administration Institute), Party School of CPC Zhejiang Committee (Zhejiang Administration Institute), and Party School of CPC Anhui Committee (Anhui Administration Institute) was officially released.

In order to study, spread and implement the spirit of General Secretary XI Jinping’s important speech on deepening the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, converge the strength of the Party school (administration institute) system in the Yangtze River Delta, and better play the positive role of Party schools (administration institutes) in promoting new major breakthroughs in the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, on May 25, the seminar on studying and implementing the spirit of General Secretary XI Jinping’s important speech on deepening the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta was held at SPI.

At the seminar, YANG Ming, Executive Vice President of Party School of CPC Jiangsu Committee (Jiangsu Administration Institute), CHEN Liuyu, Executive Vice President of Party School of CPC Zhejiang Committee (Zhejiang Administration Institute), CHEN Aijun, Executive Vice President of Party School of CPC Anhui Committee (Anhui Administration Institute), and ZENG Jun, Executive Vice President of SPI, jointly signed and issued the Initiative on Joint Development and Sharing of Teaching, Research and Consultation Resources of Party Schools (Administration Institutes) in the Yangtze River Delta. The Initiative clearly points out that it’s necessary to establish a joint meeting and consultation meeting system for the signatories to better utilize teaching, research and consultation resources, and regularly hold joint meetings and consultation meetings for organizational coordination and problem discussion. The joint meeting adopts a rotating host system. The participating units hold teaching, research and consultation seminars regularly or irregularly, and carry out exchange activities in different forms such as seminars, observations, and surveys to spread advanced experiences.

ZENG Jun, Executive Vice President of SPI, pointed out in his speech at the seminar that the Initiative is a consensus and important measure to promote the integration of the Party schools (administration institutes) in the Yangtze River Delta. It will have a profound influence on the development of Party schools (administration institutes) in the region. In order to promote the implementation of the Initiative, ZENG Jun suggested focusing on the following three points. First, we should consciously contribute to the major strategic deployment of the CPC Central Committee. We should deeply understand the strategic intentions of the CPC Central Committee, pinpoint the positioning and focus of Party schools in promoting the national strategy of high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, and gather the momentum for the joint development of Party schools (administration institutes) under the principles of “integration” and “coordination”. Second, we should make good use of the consultation meeting and joint meeting system. We should fully utilize platforms and mechanisms to regularly study and discuss all kinds of important issues in the joint development and sharing of Party school (administration institute) resources, and provide scientific decision-making for continuously promoting the integration of Party schools (administration institutes) in the Yangtze River Delta. Third, we should keep expanding the scope of joint development and sharing of resources. We should focus on the original intention of Party schools to cultivate talents for the Party and offer advice to the Party, and strive to do a good job in teaching, scientific research, and consultation. Meanwhile, we should gradually explore cooperation in Party building, talent team building, discipline construction, management services, etc., and comprehensively improve the integration of Party schools (administration institutes) in the Yangtze River Delta.

At the seminar, leaders of provincial and sub-provincial Party schools (administration institutes) in the Yangtze River Delta including LI Zongyao, XU Minghua, PAN Liquan, CHAI Ningning, SHEN Hongyi, JIANG Hui, and LUO Feng, respectively introduced teaching, research and consultation characteristics of their institutes in recent years and their proposals for cooperation. Seven teaching and research attendees made keynote speeches on the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. The seminar specially invited ZHANG Yan, Researcher and Director of the Fourth Research Department of XI Jinping Economic Thought Research Center, and Professor CAI Zhibing, Chief Expert of Regional and Urban Economic Innovation Project of the Economics Research Department of Central Party School of CPC, to make keynote speeches.

The horn of the times has sounded. We will forge ahead high-spiritedly on the new journey. The Party school (administration institute) system in the Yangtze River Delta region will follow the national strategy of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta, focus on the two key words of integration and high quality, and always stay in high spirits and actively spread the historic spirit. It will continue to deepen resource sharing, promote cooperation and collaboration, complement each other’s advantages, and pursue common improvement. It will strive to promote the overall high-quality development of the Party schools (administration institutes) in the Yangtze River Delta region and jointly write a new chapter for the integrated development of the region.
